The Progress of Volume IV

Bill and Mary were excited when Volume II, Through the Heartland on U.S. 20: Eastern New York was published in January 2011, followed by the publication of Volume III, Through the Heartland on U.S. 20: Western New York in March 2011.

They had anticipated that these two volumes would be a single volume.  However, when the New York work was completed, it was apparent that there was more material than one volume could comfortably hold.

They have already begun writing Volume IV, Through the Heartland on U.S. 20: Pennsylvania and Ohio.  The Pennsylvania portion of the book will be small, including the seven towns of the Triangle, bordering on Lake Erie.

When U.S. 20 travels into Ohio, it passes through the towns of the Western Reserve to Cleveland.  It then drops a bit south before traveling west to Toledo and then into Indiana.

Bill and Mary have discovered the writing of a volume such as these takes them two to three years.  It is their hope that Volume IV will be available for publication in 2013.
